Liran Tzipory, DVM
Veterinary Neurology of Northern Colorado (VNNC) is a privately owned practice established by Dr. Liran Tzipory. Dr. Tzipory is originally from Israel and graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Budapest, Hungary in 2003. He moved to the US in 2005 after being accepted to a small animal rotating internship at the University of Florida, which he completed in 2006. He then went on to complete a 3-year Neurology/Neurosurgery residency at the University of California- Davis in 2009. After his residency Dr. Tzipory took a position as an assistant professor in the Neurology/Neurosurgery department at Colorado State University until 2012 at which time he moved to Boston and worked at the VCA South Shore Animal Hospital until 2015. Dr. Tzipory have made his way back to beautiful Colorado and is excited to offer medical neurology and neurosurgery services to the dogs and cats in the Colorado area. Dr. Tzipory is a diplomate of ACVIM (Neurology) and has a special interest in neurosurgery, neuro-imaging (MRI) and neuro-oncology (cancer). When not at work he can be found enjoying Colorado’s beautiful outdoors. His hobbies include snowboarding, off-roading, playing soccer and cooking.
Melina Nevarez, CVT (Manager)
Melina was raised in a suburb of Chicago. After a couple years of an office job and volunteering at animal shelters she decided to move to Denver, where she attended Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology and graduated in 2002. Melina returned to Illinois where she continued her veterinary nursing career in various positions over the next 12 years. Melina gained invaluable experience in emergency medicine/ICU, and anesthesia during those years. In 2014 she returned to Denver and joined VNNC in 2015. Melina’s interests involve fostering kittens, hiking and camping. Her family consists of 4 cats, a precious daughter and partner in crime.
Stacey was born and raised in Texas. She has been in the veterinary field since 2000, exclusively with neurology since 2009 when her interests allowed her to start working as a veterinary MRI technician. She has two kids, a chef husband and two dogs named Keva and Nala. In her spare time, she likes to hike and read.
Deja was born and raised in Colorado. She comes from general practice and has a new found love for neurology. She plans on becoming a CVT soon and specializing in anesthesiology. She has two dog, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/Poodle mix named Prince and an American Bulldog/Boxer mix named Titan.
